Review value, quantity and estimated leverage.

Enter your capital, risk percentage, entry and stop-loss prices. FX Crypto Calculator shows position value and quantity alongside estimated leverage and its explanation.

Quantity comes from risk and stop distance.

For a simple linear contract quoted in the same currency as the risk amount, quantity equals planned risk divided by the absolute difference between entry and stop loss. Position value equals quantity multiplied by entry price.

Inverse contracts and other contract structures need different treatment. Check the supported pair and exchange specifications.

A worked BTC example

Assume a linear BTC contract quoted in USDT and exclude costs and execution differences.

Input or resultValue
Capital1,000 USDT
Chosen risk1%
Entry price100,000 USDT
Stop loss99,000 USDT
Planned risk10 USDT
Quantity0.01 BTC
Position value at entry1,000 USDT

The 1,000 USDT entry-to-stop difference multiplied by 0.01 BTC gives a planned price-movement loss of 10 USDT. The app screenshot shows the trade setup interface, not this completed example.

Position value is different from margin.

Position value is the trade’s exposure. Margin is collateral used to support a leveraged position.

In a simplified example, that 1,000 USDT position at 10× leverage would require 100 USDT initial margin before fees and exchange adjustments. This 10× figure illustrates the distinction; it is not the app’s leverage estimate for the setup.

Changing leverage while keeping quantity and prices fixed does not change the simple price-movement loss at the stop. It can change margin and liquidation conditions. Check the exchange’s actual requirements.

Manual inputs and Advanced Mode

Manual entry is free. In Advanced Mode, choose a supported exchange and pair for a more specific leverage estimate. Automatic entry-price filling is an optional Premium benefit when available. Market quotes are reference prices, not guaranteed execution prices.
